"Kwesi Appiah, Head Coach of Ghana’s senior national football team, Black Stars,"
Kwesi Appiah, Head Coach of Ghana’s senior national football team, Black Stars, has urged football fans in the country to forgive the Stars for their fiasco at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
“Let’s put the world cup issues behind us”, Appiah told Journalists in reaction to acerbic criticism against the performance of the players at the Mundial.
The Stars crashed out of the game at the group stages following a swirl of controversy, which mired their campaign.
Angry fans have lost confidence in them, and have publicly expressed indifference towards the team’s forthcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game with the Cranes of Uganda at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi.
“…It’s about Ghana, so we should be looking at Ghana and how best we can all put our energies behind the team during the game against Uganda and against Togo…I believe that once the support is there, the players will also be able to do their best”, Appiah said.Share your views
