Flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his condolence to the bereaved families of the Goil filling station fire that has claimed more than 100 lives in Accra.
Fire ravaged the station Wednesday after long hours of heavy downpour that plundered Accra and other parts of the country.
The victims were reportedly sheltering there from the heavy rains which prevented commercial drivers from operating.

“To all of us, this is a major tragedy. My condolence to all those who have lost their love ones. The properties we can deal with it later but the lives of those who have been affected; this is a big bad day in Accra’s history.
“The time has come for us to do something about this recurrent floods. Year after year we keep having the same problem. The time has come for us to deal with it once and for all,” he stated.Share your views
