National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu has refuted allegation that he took GH¢5000 from the party’s coffers to support actress Yvonne Nelson’s dumsor campaign.

He said he was not connected in any way with the dumsor vigil and wonders how he could financially support that course.

Baah Acheamfour a spokesperson for a pro NPP group, Save NPP had claimed that Mr John Boadu included in a budgetary allocation to the party executives that he (John Boadu) took GH¢5000 from the party’s coffers for actress Yvonne Nelson to support her dumsor campaign.

“I really want Yvonne Nelson to help the party by coming out to clarify if John Boadu actually gave her the money. NPP as a party had nothing to do with what Yvonne Neslson and her team were doing but John claim they request for support from the party”.

Mr Baah further stated that he doesn’t believe the said amount was actually given to Yvonne Nelson but insisted that John Boadu might have taken that money for something else and had to make a justification for it.

However responding to this allegation on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show Friday, Mr John Boadu stated that such an allegation is laughable and can only be a figment of someone’s imagination.

He dared his accuser (Baah Acheamfour) to provide empirical evidence that he indeed took the said money.

“He must show prove that I received that money, where is the memo in which I indicated that I took the money, I have never encountered Yvonne Nelson before. I am trying very hard to restrain myself from taking action on this matter”.

“There are persons in this party who know better and can speak out and put this issue to rest but they have all kept quiet, ….no one should blame me if I act on this matter”.

Meanwhile, actress Yvonne Nelson has debunked reports she took money from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to organise the Dumsor vigil.

She has threatened to sue and compel those spreading such false rumours to substantiate their claims.
