The High Court in Dambai, in the Oti Region, has granted an interlocutory injunction restraining the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from conducting its Nkwanta North Constituency Executive Elections scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The ruling, delivered on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, also bars the party and its officials from submitting, certifying, using or relying on the register of branch executives, commonly known as the delegates list, compiled following branch elections held in June and July 2026.

The injunction will remain in force until the final determination of the suit or until further orders of the court.

The application was brought by Gmajobe Yaw and 22 other members of the Nkwanta North Constituency against the NDC, the constituency chairman, Isaiah Kudjo Dordoe, and the chairman of the constituency election committee, Jonathan Makunaye.
