The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced that Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, will be making a historic visit to Ghana this week.

Mr Ablakwa said that the visit will advance the relations between the two countries in pharmaceutical development within the framework of President Mahama’s Accra Reset philosophy, and also deepen agricultural cooperation in mechanisation and value addition.

In a post on his X page, Ablakwa said that he deeply cherished the bilateral meeting and panel discussions on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) with the venerable Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

"Ghana and India value our inseparable bond of solidarity and shared values.

"I look forward to hosting His Excellency Dr. S. Jaishankar in Ghana later this week on his historic visit to Ghana at my invitation," he wrote.

He stressed "We are poised to advance our relations in pharmaceutical development within the framework of President Mahama’s Accra Reset philosophy; deepening agricultural cooperation in mechanization and value addition; support for President Mahama’s industrialization and job creation agenda; expanding scholarships and IT partnerships."
