New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communications Dennis Miracles Aboagye has expressed confidence in the ability of the party’s newly elected First Vice Chairman, Kojo Bamba, to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation and help protect its votes in the 2028 general election.

Miracles described Kojo Bamba as an influential, innovative and forward-thinking politician whose appeal among the youth and grassroots could complement the strengths of the party’s leadership.

Speaking on Eyewitness News on Monday, he said Mr Bamba’s election reflected the need for diversity within the NPP’s leadership, with different executives bringing varied skills and constituencies to the party.

“He is one of the people that we know would be able to provide a certain level of influence on the grassroots. That is Kojo Bamba for you, and that is the level of innovation that he brings to the table that people have not paid their mind to.”

Miracles said he was particularly optimistic about Kojo Bamba’s ability to mobilise party supporters and protect the NPP’s ballots during the 2028 elections.

“I am excited about his election because I can tell you one thing for a fact. With Kojo Bamba, the votes of the NPP will be protected. The ballots of the NPP will be protected.”

According to him, Kojo Bamba’s campaign commitment to strengthen ballot protection would be an important responsibility within the party’s new leadership structure.

Miracles added that the NPP’s experience in the 2024 election had demonstrated the need for stronger measures to protect its ballots, insisting that the party would not repeat what he described as mistakes made during that election.
