The sold-out show, held on September 26, 2026, brought together comedians from Ghana and Nigeria, who kept the audience entertained with a series of stand-up performances.
Among the comedians who took the stage were Jeffery Nortey, Comedian Parrotmouth, Jeneral Ntatia, Kweku Manu and MC Okokobioko himself, alongside several other performers from Nigeria.
The night, however, was not limited to comedy. The audience also enjoyed DJ sessions, a humorous but educational drama highlighting the dangers of littering and its contribution to flooding in Accra, as well as a free gift segment.
The performances and activities kept the packed auditorium engaged until the show ended at about 11pm.
While the event was considered a success in terms of attendance and audience engagement, MC Okokobioko revealed that the show was not organised primarily for financial returns.
According to the comedian, he invested about GH¢100,000 into the production of his fourth stand-up special without expecting to recoup the money.
For him, the bigger objective was the impact of the show, creating a platform for comedians and giving audiences an evening of entertainment and meaningful experiences.
With a packed National Theatre and performances from comedians across Ghana and Nigeria, Comfortably Struggling ultimately showed the growth within the Ghanaian comedy sector and it's future.
