In a statement dated September 27, 2026 and signed by Mahdi Gibrill, Acting Director of Elections of the NDC. the party directed all aspirants, stakeholders and relevant party officials in the constituency to take note of the suspension.
The vetting exercise has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the NDC's National Headquarters.
The party did not state the reason for the suspension in the notice.
The NDC said any further information or directives regarding the exercise would be communicated to stakeholders as necessary.
The party’s vetting exercise for 2026 constituency executive aspirants begun from September 25 to September 27, 2026, at various constituency offices across the country.
Aspirants who may be disqualified can appeal from Tuesday, September 29 – Thursday, October 1, 2026, to be handled at regional offices.
Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, 2026, has been scheduled for the constituency elections to be held at designated venues within each constituency.
