In its weather update on Sunday, August 16, GMet said northern Ghana was expected to experience rain and thunderstorms, with some areas also likely to record misty conditions.
Across southern Ghana, the Agency said the weather was expected to remain mostly cloudy, although some areas could experience light rain or drizzle later in the day.
GMet advised residents in northern Ghana to seek shelter during periods of heavy rain and lightning and remain alert to official weather updates.
The Agency also urged the public to follow safety advisories during thunderstorms to minimise the risk of accidents and other hazards.
In an emergency, the public can contact the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) on 0302 964 884 or 0291 913 077, or dial 112.
