NBA: I’m excited about turning team around- Trae Young after getting traded to Washington Wizards

Point guard Trae Young has officially been traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Washington Wizards in the NBA ending his eight year tenure with the Hawks.

Young was traded to the Wizards for veteran point guard CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert after averaging 25.2 points and 9.8 assists while leading the Hawks to an Eastern Conference Finals appearance.

The four time NBA All Star, Young, is set to be sidelined for a while before making his Washington debut as he is dealing with a right quad contusion and right knee MCL sprain but is upbeat about turning around the fortunes of the lowly ranked Wizards.

The Wizards rank 14^th in the 15 team Eastern Conference with 10 wins and 27 losses.
