Interior Ministry opens nationwide recruitment for Ghana Police, Fire, Prisons, and Immigration Services
The Ministry for the Interior has officially announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise for four of Ghana’s key security agencies: the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and Ghana Immigration Service.

According to a statement released by the ministry, applications will be accepted for a one-month period, running from November 15 to December 15, 2025.

The recruitment drive is part of concerted efforts to “strengthen Ghana’s internal security framework, enhance public safety, and promote effective service delivery across all security agencies.”

The ministry has invited “suitably qualified, disciplined, and patriotic Ghanaian citizens who desire to serve the nation with integrity, professionalism, and dedication” to apply within the stipulated period.

Details regarding vacancies, specific qualifications, and the application procedures for each service are provided on the ministry’s website and below.

The ministry strictly cautioned prospective applicants against engaging with individuals or groups who claim they can influence the recruitment process for money.

It also emphasized that no fees are charged at any stage of the exercise, and any person found submitting false documents or dealing with middlemen will face automatic disqualification and possible prosecution.

The Ministry added that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted and invited for screening, aptitude tests, and background verification.
