The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Naser Toure was a veteran lawmaker serving his fourth term in Parliament. Throughout his tenure, he was known for his extensive work on technical committees and his commitment to infrastructure and energy development.
At the time of his passing, he held several high-profile roles, including:
Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee.
Member of the Roads and Transport Committee.
Member of the House Committee.
Member of the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
In accordance with Islamic tradition, the late Member of Parliament is expected to be laid to rest later today. The burial ceremony will take place at his private residence in Nima, Accra, following the performance of Janazah prayers.
