Jhon Duran leaves Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr for Fenerbahce

Colombian striker Jhon Duran has joined Fenerbahce on a one-year loan from Al-Nassr, just six months after sealing a £71m move from Aston Villa to the Saudi club.

The 21-year-old scored 12 goals in 29 games for Villa last season, despite starting just seven league matches.

After moving to Al-Nassr in January, he netted another 12 goals in 18 appearances, helping the club finish third in the Saudi Pro League.

Fenerbahce confirmed the deal, saying:

Duran, capped 17 times by Colombia with three international goals, began his European journey with Villa in 2023 after moving from MLS side Chicago Fire for £18m.

However, he struggled for regular starts, often playing second fiddle to Ollie Watkins.

He now links up with Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce, who finished second in the Turkish Super Lig last season. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his stay at Al-Nassr with a new two-year deal.
