The Founder of Great Fire Pentecostal International Church, Bishop Bonegas, has shared what he believes could have influenced the breakup of Bishop Daniel Obinim and his ex-wife, Florence Nana Akua Sarfowaa.

In an interview with Nana Romeo, shared on Instagram on October 19, 2026, Bishop Bonegas noted that the divorce case involving Bishop Daniel Obinim and his former wife is not natural.

According to him, there is a high possibility that a covenant was made by the great-grandparents of both parties, which could be affecting their marriage.

ā€œIf you look deep into the families of both parties, there is a possibility that a covenant was made in the family. Some of the spirits of covenants affecting marriages only work when the couple has given birth.

ā€œOne thing that affects pastors is that we spend most of our time taking care of our members but do not pay proper attention to our families. So, before they realise it, their marriages are in shambles. Some pastors do not even have time for their wives,ā€ he said.

Bishop Bonegas additionally recounted how his own marriage fell apart despite ensuring that his ex-wife was properly taken care of.

According to him, after a spiritual consultation, he realised that the breakup of his marriage was not natural, adding that it was also influenced by a covenant made in his family that caused marriages to fail when the children were still young.

ā€œI used to work hard to ensure my wife and her family were taken care of, but in the end, what happened to my uncle happened to me. When my wife left me, my children were very young. One was even a year old.

ā€œ...I went for a spiritual consultation, and the spirit that came was one of my great-grandmothers, who made me aware that what was happening was a covenant that they had made. I was told to break the covenant, and I have done that, but I am yet to get married again and see if it worked or not,ā€ he added.
