Speaking on The Delay Show, Odiifour said he met Auntie Naa near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) at a time when he was struggling financially after returning to Ghana from Libya.
He said he was looking for work and hoped to secure a job as a driver or a trotro mate when he encountered the broadcaster on her way to work.
Recounting the encounter, Odiifour said he was impressed by her appearance and wanted to propose to her, although it was their first meeting.
He said he nevertheless approached her to ask for a job. Auntie Naa reportedly explained that she was not an employer and was working with another broadcaster, Mama Efe.
According to Odiifour, he then asked her for money. She gave him some money and her telephone number.
He said he contacted her about two weeks later and learnt that she was moving to Oyerepa FM. She subsequently asked him to join her.
Odiifour explained that he was not initially a regular member of the programme's team. However, when one of the panellists was absent on a particular day, he took the opportunity to participate in the discussion.
He said his presentation skills and analysis impressed the team, marking the beginning of his rise in broadcasting.
The broadcaster's account offers a glimpse into the unexpected circumstances that brought him into radio after a difficult period abroad and his return to Ghana.
