The accident occurred on Saturday, August 15 and prompted an emergency response from personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), who were called to the scene to assist victims of the crash.
Firefighters from the Buduburam Fire Station responded to the incident and undertook rescue operations after the collision left several people injured.

According to the GNFS, the firefighters successfully rescued eight injured persons from the accident scene and transported them to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for medical attention.
The victims were conveyed to the health facility for treatment as emergency medical personnel attended to the injuries sustained in the crash.
However, despite efforts to save the victims, one of the persons involved in the accident later died.
The fatality adds to concerns over road safety along the Kasoa–Winneba Road, a major route used by motorists and commercial vehicles travelling between the Central Region and the Greater Accra Region.
The collision caused significant damage to the vehicles involved. The Toyota Voxy sustained extensive damage, particularly to its engine compartment, following the impact.

The water tanker also suffered damage, although the extent was described as partial.
The GNFS has not yet disclosed the identity of the deceased or the injured persons.
The exact circumstances that led to the collision are also yet to be established.
According to the Fire Service, the cause of the accident remains under investigation, with further details expected to emerge as authorities work to determine what led to the crash.
