Paramedics from the Ghana National Ambulance Service reportedly struggled to transport the injured due to the large crowd gathered at the conference grounds.
One of the injured persons is reported to have suffered a fracture after some members of the crowd attempted to force their way through, prompting the police to intensify crowd control measures.
Others who sustained minor injuries are being treated at temporary medical centres set up at the conference grounds.
