Kumasi: 20-year-old man stabbed to death in fight over plastic chair
A 20-year-old man, Kwadwo Bright, has been stabbed to death in a fight over a plastic chair at Ashanti New Town in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2025, involved the deceased and his friend, identified as 21-year-old Baker, who is now on the run.

According to the deceased's mother, Georgina Yeboah, the altercation started at a snooker game centre when the two disagreed over a plastic chair. Although the matter was initially resolved, the suspect later attacked Bright and stabbed him in the neck.

Mrs Yeboah recalled hearing people shouting about the stabbing and rushing to the scene, where she found her son in a critical condition. He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police have launched investigations into the case and are pursuing the suspect, who remains at large.
