Finance Minister signs key debt deal with Germany
Finance Minister Ato Forson has announced the signing of Ghana’s sixth bilateral debt agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany, a move aimed at supporting the country’s ongoing economic recovery programme.

In a social media update sighted by MyNewsGh, Forson said, “Earlier today, I signed Ghana’s bilateral debt agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany represented by Ambassador Frederik Landshöft. This is our sixth agreement under the ongoing restructuring programme.”

He described the agreement as “yet another critical milestone in our economic recovery journey,” noting that it would strengthen the foundations of fiscal stability and support long-term growth.

The Finance Minister expressed gratitude to the German government, saying, “I wish to thank the Government and people of Germany for their steadfast partnership and confidence in Ghana’s future.

“Together, we are building a stronger, more sustainable economy, one step at a time,” he concluded.
