Two firefighters injured in Adjiringano building fire
A late-night fire in Adjiringano left two firefighters injured as they worked to bring the blaze under control.

The Ghana National Fire Service said the officers have been treated and discharged after sustaining a stab wound and a shoulder injury during the operation.

According to a November 15 statement, the fire gutted a two-storey, eight-room building near Ability Square.

The call came in at 9:32 p.m. on Friday, November 14, and the first crew from the Legon Fire Station arrived just after 10 p.m.

Reinforcements from Madina, the National Headquarters, Adenta, and a private water tanker helped ensure a steady water supply until the fire was contained after midnight and fully extinguished by 1:08 a.m.

Seven rooms on the top floor were destroyed, while firefighters managed to save one room and prevent the flames from spreading to the ground floor and nearby buildings.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
