Recruitment: Here’s how to apply to the Police, Prisons, Immigration and Fire services
Thousands of young Ghanaians hoping to join the country’s security agencies now have their chance, as the nationwide recruitment exercise for the Police, Immigration, Fire, and Prisons Services officially opens today, Monday, November 17, 2025.

The Centralised Services E-Recruitment Portal (C-SERP), the government’s unified digital system for security sector recruitment will remain open until Friday, December 19, 2025, giving applicants one full month to submit their forms.

According to a public notice issued ahead of the launch, candidates must purchase an application voucher through one of two approved channels:

The USSD code 71303# on all mobile networks
Any GCB Bank branch nationwide
However, applicants are strongly advised to take note of a critical instruction: they must specify which agency’s voucher they wish to purchase. This ensures that their application is correctly routed to the Police, Immigration, Fire, or Prisons Service from the very beginning.

The government says the C-SERP system was designed to make recruitment more transparent, fair and accessible, eliminating manual bottlenecks and reducing opportunities for corruption.

The notice also issued a strong warning to the public about fraudsters posing as “connection men” during recruitment season.

“There are no middlemen in the recruitment selection process. Be vigilant and do not fall prey to any scheme purporting to offer admission slots at a fee. The C-SERP process is free, fair and open to all qualified Ghanaians,” the statement cautioned.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to visit the official portal at https://cserpgh.com, read all instructions carefully, and confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements before starting the process.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next phase of the screening exercise.
