NPP’s biggest hurdle is not unity but winning the love and trust of Ghanaians- Oppong Nkrumah
Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has acknowledged that the NPP’s real challenge is winning back the trust of the Ghanaian people.

Unlike claims that the NPP’s challenge going forward will be unity, he says the party is united than ever after the January 31, 2026 primary.

He explained that this is evident in what happened after the primary and the fact that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s competitors have visited and had extensive engagements with him.

He explains that former President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to ensure unity stayed away from the polls and has pledged to support in unifying the political party.

To him, the biggest hurdle now is winning the trust and love of the Ghanaian people which seems to have waned.

”I really don’t think the problem is going to be unity going forward. I think that the real hurdle that we have to overcome as a party is winning back the love and the trust of the people of Ghana,” he told Joy News in Accra.

The NPP has elected its flagbearer ahead of the 2028 elections.

The party and its flagbearer have vowed to unite the party ahead of the 2028 elections and are optimistic that with unity they can win back the love of Ghanaians and go on to win the 2028 elections.
